This double rise reservoir type 5 regulates and stores the wind supply of the organ by means of a double folding mechanism at an air output of 22.5 m³/min. The folds are 15 mm thick and 175 mm wide, matched to the size of the bellows. The frame is of solid spruce with vertical grain, the wood joint is tenoned, floor and lid are of 3-ply spruce and blockboard respectively. The hinges are made of gut string and leather (Knirschleder), the bellows scissors of flat iron. The wooden parts are glued with D2 dispersion glue, the leatherwork with bone glue. The leathering is done with vegetable-tanned sheepskin, and the surface is finely sanded and left natural. On request a frame structure in 27 mm three-ply spruce with a matching crate can be ordered.
Every bellows is carefully made by hand in POM’s workshop in Pécs. More than 30 years of experience in organ building guarantee precise execution and a high standard of quality.
